Stereo Speaker Repair

We have two big stereo speakers that I got from Gergo BM many many years ago. They are old but quite powerful. However, they finally started giving up the ghost a couple months ago. I did not know what was wrong until Simon opened one up and discovered the fabric holding the woofer and tweeter in place had disintegrated and even melted over the years. Kata's ex-husband mentioned that there is a speaker repair on Bacsy Zsilinszky Ut. I must have passed by every day but never took much notice. The Hangszoro Bolt (1065 Budapest, Bajcsy-Zs. Ut 41) is a tiny place packed with used and refurbished speakers, as well as some hi-fi equipment. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. I paid 9100 Huf for the replacement of 2 woofers and fabric repair, and the speakers should be good for a long time to come. Open M-T-W: 10-17, Th: 10-18, F: 10-16. Tel: 06-30-635-7550. Car Repair

We had parked above a sharp incline above a lake, which was pretty, but later inconvenient since every time we tried to reverse, the car went forwards. Luckily several people in the lot saw our predicament and came to our rescue by pushing us backwards. It was about time for that service appointment. Akos and Gabor both recommended a place near Örs Vezer ter called Scheiling Bt. (1106 Budapest, Pilisi u. 10; 70-701-0754). Mr. Scheiling was extremely helpful and friendly, explaining and showing everything to us in terms we could understand. A clutch replacement, light change and brake cleaning cost us 93000 HUF plus VAT. The repairs were completed in 2 days. I have not been to a garage in over 2 decades so do not have much to compare this with, but it was a positive experience.

Bike Repair

On the way back from the National Agriculture and Food Exhibition one of my bike brake cables sheared off. On the recommendation of my seamstress Magdi on Csengery u., I took my bike to the new place next door. Bikepont is located at 1067 Budapest, Csengery u. 34 between the Hunyadi Square Market and Kiraly u. next to Magdi Szabo. Palmai Zsolt replaced the brake cable and aligned the wheels better just for fun in less than 15 minutes, and I was a walk-in, all for 1200 HUF.
