Bored in Budapest?

At the gym yesterday there was this beautiful and very fit woman on the treadmill, just hitting it for an hour. She later got into an easily-overheard  conversation with someone, saying that she is so terribly bored in Budapest that she comes to the gym 2-times a day to run for an hour. How can one be so bored in Budapest? Case in point..after the gym I headed home to repack for a birthday picnic on Margit Island, but on the way ran into friends Richard and Magda who informed me that I am an idiot because the picnic was yesterday. They then kidnapped me and took me up to grandma's house on Szechenyi Hill for food, white wine spritzers and sun. Grandma lives up around Farkasvolgyi ut, and it is really worth walking around to see the amazing mix of architecture, both old and new, in the area.  There is even a crazy new massive house with a great view, but no windows on that side. There is also a nice view from the Szechenyi Kilatas (viewing tower?). To top it all off, we had fresh strawberries and homemade cherry pie. In between, we admired little Alex's attempts to walk, played with the new kuvasz puppy, and had meaningful half-buzzed conversations. The end station of the cogwheel railway/fogaskereku (other end at Moszkva ter)is nearby, so it is easily accessible by public transport. You can even take your  bike up on the cogwheel railway, and cycle down through the hills. Bored in Budapest?
