Saturday Into Sunday

Saturday evening I joined Bottlehugger Ben and family for a movie at MOM Park. Normally I have found Disney flicks good, but The Princess and the Frog lacked any kind of innovation, laughter, new ideas or even the masterful animation normally found in their films. With the promise of waffles in the morning (ok, I am a hedonist) we rented a movie and watched it back at their place. Surprisingly, the new Star Trek film was quite good, often funny, and filled some interesting details about the original characters. While the waffles did not materialise, a hangover and the children waking me up by tickling my feet and jumping on my stomach did. It was awhile before we actually got moving on buying a Christmas tree. Ben and Anita both crashed in the early afternoon and I had the very new experience of helping a child in the toilet. Luckily, Abi knew the drill and patiently told me what to do. Then we made fajitas for the Discover Budapest staff Christmas party. Bea had organised a surprise with the parking garage nearby, and we all went up to the snowy roof of the parking garage, lit with candles, and had a great view of the city. I got pretty legless at the party somehow, and much of the later evening is a blank, but it was a a good party and lots of dancing.
