Fair Trade Exhibition of Mozambican Batiks
The Hungarian Fair Trade campaign, Fair Vilag, spearheaded by Vedegylet opened a new exhibition yesterday at the Merlin Theater (1052, Budapest, Gerlóczy u. 4.). The exhibition of Mozambican paintings and batik textiles from the DHLAMBO community continues through Earth Day, April 22nd. Gyorgyi Ujszaszi from Fair Vilag opened the event with Peter Morenth, Consul for the Lesotho Consulate in Hungary. This was followed by an African drummer and dancers, and banana-coconut cocktails made with Fair Trade bananas. The exhibit is UPSTAIRS in the bar and theater area, and can be viewed every day from 18:00-20:00.
