Some Dan Bacsi Time

Yesterday afternoon I realised I was in need of some Dan Bacsi time. Every once in awhile I will get depressed, and eventually figure out the thing that has lately been missing in my life . It is usually exercise, but this time it was being Uncle Dan to Ben and Anita's kids. And I had yet to meet their newborn, Samuel. Ben made some awesome enchilades, while I played horsey and read Dr. Seuss stories to Noah and Abi. Sam cried a lot, but I was informed that in reality Sam does not cry much compared to other newborns. I was fearing a reaction in myself like a Hawkeye Pierce moment in the last M*A*S*H episode. Maybe I am not ready for kids yet. Getting home late, pleasantly drunk on Szeremley Csaba's best olasz rizling yet (which Ben and I helped make), and well-exhausted from the child play, it was a nice, relaxed, rejuvinating evening.
