Lint Frogs

rakacai toI went down to Szalonna this weekend with Mookie Brando. I don't know about Budapest, but the weather was terribly humid and a huge storm rocked the house Friday night/Saturday morning. Thanks Lennard, the gutter you
repaired held up ok. Corn on the cob and cold pasta salad for dinner, including some great pickles a neighbor I had never met before dropped off just to be friendly. Saturday we cycled to Rakaca Lake for a swim. Instead of swimming from the dam, we went around as far as we could to Meszes and dove in there. Meszes seems like a nice little town. We got some good icecream and pints of Soproni for 210 HUF (love the videk!). Since it was a nice road, we cycled a bit further past Meszes, but then turned around, saving it for another day. On the way back, we went across the dam to see if it hooked up with a ring road, but it ended in private property owned
by the water authority. Dinner was chicken shishkabab, turkey burgers and salad, followed by some yummy organic fair trade hazelnut chocolate and cinammon-orange chocolate. Mookie woke up in the middle of the night and saw something moving across the floor. On closer examination, it was a frog covered with lint. Poor thing, I swear we did a massive cleaning just a few weeks ago.

The nice weekend was topped off today by a great massage by Evi at Me Massage & I. I look forward to this every month, and would go every week if I could. My right shoulder was way out of whack and she used everything - elbows, knuckles, and maybe even her nose at some point to wring me back into shape before the Balaton Swim next weekend. The new Asian restaurant Papirtigris is just around the corner. Since they use Treehugger Dan's Fair Trade coffee, I thought it was about time to check them out. Both Jeroen and I went for the lunch special - sweet and sour soup and noodles with teriyaki chicken. I thought the soup was very good, as were the noodles, and the huge glass of ginger lemonade for 390 huf hit the spot.

This week I am also proud to announce that the EU and International Justice Cooperation Secretariat of the Hungarian Ministry of Public Administration and Justice just started using Treehugger Dan's organic Fair Trade coffee and teas and chocolates.
