Concert Review: The Home Sessions
When you get a bunch of musicians together from a some of the top bands in Budapest (Last Drops, Mookie Brando and the Second Cousins, Poosta Ramblers, Marco & Kati, to just name a few), who enjoy playing live, and playing together, the audience also feels that joy and you know a good time is in store. Maybe it is just me, but I love it when musicians pass instruments around. The concert had a few nice suprises, like Csaba and Sandor both taking turns on lead vocals, and Marco playing bass and cajon. The concert was relaxed, but full of positive energy, imcluding some foot stomping tunes. Some of the highlights included the improvisation jams, "My Lady's House" (Iron and Wine), "California Stars" (Wilco) "Fix

You" (Cold Play), "Bullet In The Head" (Rage Against The Machine), "Look at Ms. Ohio" (Gillian Welch), "Mr. President" (Gregory Zeigler), "Wagon Wheel" (Old Crow Medicine Show), and "Trouble" (Ray LaMontagne). Greg's "Mr. President" and some of his other tunes are moving him in the direction of being the Woody Guthrie of Budapest.
