Bogracs, Fair Trade Business and The Body Shop
This weekend it was back to the house after a long hiatus. Bottlehugger Ben and his family came with me and were kind enough to help transport a new 80l water tank to replace the old rusted out one. We cooked a bogracs of gulyas with chicken legs, and toasted marshmallows and mahopde s'mores. The theme of the weekend was marshmallows; when would they get some, and how many they could, would and did eat ,-) Lucky there were no resulting upset stomachs, as both Abi and Noah had about 10 a piece.
Yesterday I was delivering coffee at Vertis Environmental, my first corporate Fair Trade coffee customer so many years ago. I took advantage of being in the MOM Park area to try to return some bottles to the Body Shop. I expected the worst, having had a bad experience in Kosova when I tried to return empty bottles there for refilling. However, they were pleasant, understanding and immediately accepted my returnable bottles. The shop is quite difficult to locate, one floor below the ground floor and tucked in between some gift shop kiosks. However, they do have a webshop with all my favorite environmentally-friendly products. Of course, there is also LUSH at several locations around Budapest with a range of Fair Trade products of their own.
I would also like to welcome our new Fair Trade coffee and tea partners Renee Cafe, Blue Guides/Somerset Kft, Glorious Day, FirstMed,, DramaWorks , Helpers, and the Office of Legal Counsel at the Open Society Institute!
