Monday Night Lekvar at Potkulcs: Remix
It has now officially become a regular thing - every second Monday at 8pm, with free entry. Get on down there for some good music and good vibes. If you can play something, or sing, you are more than welcome to join in. Last night featured Brian Scoffield, Mike Kentish, Greg Zeigler, Ashley Brees, Kati Osztian, Marco Randria, Chris Parsons, Stuart Relph and Eric Bosque. One of the things I like best about this set up, and Anthony Donnely's Red Velour showcase last summer, is the new formations and music that develops from these diverse and talented musicians playing together in novel ways. I especially enjoyed Marco & Kati's cover of Adele's "Black and Gold," and "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac; Greg's "Chocolate Jesus" by Tom Waits, Brian's newest tune, "Easy," Stuart's song"Going Along," and the two Billy Bragg tunes Mike sang. Things started on time, and individual musicians are now generally taking the lead on three songs and then handing the stage to the next person.
