Concert Review: Marco & Kati
At 7:30pm I was in worry mode. The band was missing, as was the audience. Marco finally called and explained they were in Budapest taxi company hell, and they arrived about the same time as the audience and all of a sudden we were run off our feet by the huge crowd. Marco & Kati (with Greg and Agoston) continue to improve in confidence and tightness on stage. For the first time, the band included some of their own compositions in the set. Unfortunately, I did not make note of which were their own songs during the set, so I cannot comment. Next time, I promise. Of the ones I recognised, I especially enjoyed "Eskimo Friend," "Ocean," and "Black Eyed Dog."
That is it for this season. We start the concerts up again in late September when most of the bikes are in storage again and people are back from summer holidays. Many new acts have contacted me this year, and I hope I can fit both the old favorites and the newcomers into the autumn-winter schedule. In the meantime, you can catch Greg and Marco with Mookie Brando and the Second Cousins at Trafik on June 30th.
